How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. – Psalm 119:9
OSSAE is an organisation concentrating on spiritual education of young minds in our community. It is part of all the parishes under the Malankara Orthodox Faith. Its aim is to instill the knowledge taught in the Bible and the ways of the Orthodox Church in young children.
Sunday School
Orthodox Sunday School education aims to help young people gain fundamental knowledge about our faith, traditions, Holy Eucharist and Holy Bible.
Regular Sunday School lessons (centralised program of OSSAE-UK) are conducted by our dedicated and enthusiastic team of 14 teachers for an ever growing number of students, currently numbering 42. Classes range from reception to class 10. Through the syllabus, our children also learn the common prayers and songs. At the completion of Class 10 the students take the Veda Padana Certificate conducted by OSSAE – UK.
We also aim to offer class 11 from 2022 onwards.
Orthodox Vacation Bible School
We conduct a one day workshop for all Sunday School children every year with the children enjoying the various activities including songs, games and lessons. Our senior Sunday School students & Youth Movement Group members take the lead in running the event supported by the Vicar and other teachers.
Every year, we also run a charity event in association with the event where the fees collected from the event is donated to local care homes for resident welfare. If you are looking for bracelet. Parish Day Celebrations
We celebrate our Parish Day annually on the feast day of our patron Saint St Gregorios of Parumala in November. This is a special day where at the end of the Holy Eucharist (Qurbana), our children present a variety of entertainment programs.
